RateUrVisit “RUV” collects and saves the obligatory data provided on the RUV survey form (including but not limited to: sales receipt details such as order number, restaurant number, transaction date/time, etc.) plus any data provided voluntarily by the RUV users (telephone number, email address, country of residence, demographic profile and other data given on the registration form).

RateUrVisit saves data on user’s purchase details in the form of sales receipt image, but kept only for 6 months. RUV also saves data on user’s survey participation history and coupon redemption. The participating stores in RUV comprise stores operated by McDonald’s itself, with the possible exception of select restaurants. McDonald’s based in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Cyprus, Turkey, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and La Reunion.

The data stated in this section is used by McDonald’s for the following purposes: If a user has given McDonald’s his or her consent, McDonald’s may send the user further information about McDonald’s, product information, services and communication by email or via mobile app push notifications. Based from the data and the feedback survey history reported by the customer, McDonald’s may personalize the information sent to the user so that the user particularly receives, where possible, information which McDonald’s considers interesting and useful for the user. For this purpose, McDonald’s analyses the data collected at the start of user participation and registration (should the user wish to register), and in particular, takes account of the saved information related to demographics: gender, country of residence, nationality (applicable to Gulf countries), preferences and other information that can be collected from the survey feedback received or has been given to RateUrVisit by the user voluntarily at any later time.
